Kathleen Green - Managing Director
Kathleen is the Managing Director of Green Sparks PAT Testing. She primarily manages all the bookings, the accounts, social media and pricing enquiries. Having attended a PAT Testing course, she can equally test and inspect appliances and does so on some of the bigger contracts.
Kathleen enjoys varied music concerts dancing the night away, and has an ever growing shoe collection. She also renovates and develops properties for her other company Blackberry Renovations.
Jack Cookman - Team Manager
Jack joined the company in March 2020 taking on a complete career change. Jack’s hard work and support over the years has excelled him to now be the Team Manager and has excellent communication skills with customers and staff.
Jack is City & Guilds qualified in the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Appliances. Jack is married to Terri and is an ardent Man Utd fan.
Malcolm Williams - Team Leader
Malcolm has worked in retail most of his career but a change in circumstances meant a change in his path.
Having been a client of Green Sparks for 9 years, he has now become a valued member of the team joining in October 2021 . Malcolm supports Man Utd and enjoying driving around Cornwall in his Postman Pat van.
Diane - Office Manager
Diane Joined us during the busiest time we’ve ever had, to help Kathleen run the office. As she hit the ground running, she has fitted in perfectly and is now our Office Manager.
Donald Howard - Engineer
Donald has been with the team full time since March 2023. He relocated to Cornwall after living and working in London for 20 years in IT, specialising in web development. He has become a great asset to the team and you’ll see him driving around in our branded silver van.
In his spare time likes o play old vinyl records from the 80’s and 90’s. Having an almost classic car it takes up his time as there’s always something that needs fixing. If there’s a karaoke happening he’ll gladly grab the microphone and belt out songs that only those in his age group would remember.

Kieran Cotton - Engineer
Kieran joined us in October. We have known him personally for years, and he wanted a career change and hours more suited to fit around his family.
He loves anything to do with Star Wars, driving (he’ll do lots of that in this job!), and spending quality
time with his family.
Caden Harry James - Engineer
Caden started with us in March 2023.
He is fresh out of college and is a big supporter of Arsenal Football Club. Enjoying spending time with friends, watching TV series, and a passion for cars..
James Green - Founder of Green Sparks PAT Testing
1974 - 2023
James was the founder of the business in 2009 following retraining as an electrician. He then moved the business from Devon to Cornwall in 2012, Green Sparks PAT Testing soon established themselves as the biggest and highest rated PAT Testing company in County. James was a committee member of the national trade association, PATTA, and attended national meetings to raise the standards of PAT Testing across the industry.
James sadly passed away 14th March 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Leaving a thriving business and legacy that has been carried on by his wife Kathleen, Jack and supportive team.
We thank everyone for their kind words and support and continue to offer the high level of service set by James.
